Winston-Salem, NC - After a 3-1 road defeat at the hands of Broncos FC, the Savannah Clovers once again bounced back into form. The Clovers came away with a 3-1 win over FC Cardinals this past weekend. The Square City Club got on the scoreboard early in the 2nd minute of play. In only his second game with the Clovers, Seth Fite scored on a header from the run of play. The Clovers would score again just before the half. Kike Carcamo's poweful shot was not handled well by the Cardinals Keeper and the rebound was tucked home by Momadou Quattara. The Cardinals would make things interesting in the 55th minute, netting a goal to bring the scoreline to 1-2. Kike Carcamo would add the insurance goal in the 70th minute. Carcamo let off a snap volley that caught the Cardinals Keeper off guard. The Clovers would hold on and win 3 goals to 1 over FC Cardinals. The win moves the Clovers onto 18 points, just one point ahead of Atlanta All Stars.

The Savannah Clovers return home on June 23 as we take on C-Ville FC and host our second annual food drive, Kick Hunger 2! Fans and supporters are encouraged to bring a non perishable food item to benefit America's Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia. Tickets are currently available.
