Charleston, SC - The second leg of the Colonial Derby ended 2-1 as Lowcountry United defeated the Savannah Clovers this past Saturday. The match would see its first goal just after 25 minutes of play. Forward Henry Bane would break free from the defense and find Kike Carcamo storming up the left side to put away the first goal of the game. As the match drew closer to the end of the first half, United was awarded a penalty from what looked to be a push in the box. Former Battery standout Austin Savage would convert and level the match at 1-1. The Clovers had many chances in the second half to go up, but United would score off a glancing header from a corner late into the second half making it 2-1. Henry Bane nearly scored on a free kick that would have secured a draw for the Clovers, but the United Keeper's save was just as impressive as Bane's strike.
Be sure to keep up with the Clovers this week as we take part in two matched. First, the Savannah Clovers will travel to take on NPSL side Greenville FC this Wednesday. The Clovers will be back at home as they continue their UPSL season against Bragg FC.
