Savannah, Ga - The Savannah Clovers secured their first home win of the UPSL Regular Season with a 1-0 victory over Atlanta All Stars. Erik Salaises headed home his first league goal in the 19th minute, scoring from a Enrique Carcamo corner kick. The All Stars came close to scoring late in the first half, but was thwarted by a save from GK Ali Bassir and a goal line clearance by Jared Seff. Enrique Carcamo would again prove to be consequential early in the second half, drawing a penalty after being taken down in the box. Clovers' number 10 Alex Rosillo stepped up to take the penalty but could not convert. The Clovers would hold on to the 1-0 victory, moving on to 9 points and maintaining third place in the UPSL Southeast Conference. The Savannah Clovers will be back at Morris Field this Sunday, April 29th, as they host Sparta 20/20 in Regular Season action. Gate opens at 3pm, Kickoff scheduled for 4pm.
