UPSL Week 3 Recap: Savannah Clovers v Lowcountry United

Savannah, Ga - Amid the biggest party in Savannah, the Clovers made their UPSL Home debut against rivals Lowcountry United. The night saw three goal scorers in the 7 goal thriller with United getting the better of the Clovers. Miguel Lopez opened the scoring early in the first half after a miscommunication between the United GK and back line. Lopez's night would continue by completing a hat trick before being subbed off due to a slight injury. The back and forth nature of the game saw great spells of possession and lead changes by both teams. United would upend the early work by the Clovers by going up 1-2 before the first half would end. The second half saw an urgent Clovers side jump to a 3-2 lead over their rivals. Miguel Lopez completed his hat trick by scoring off a rebound and loose header in the box. United would refocus after going down 3-2 and score two more goals stemming from defensive errors by the Clovers. The match would end 3-4 in favor of Lowcountry United. The Savannah Clovers will be looking to rebound as they take on Bragg FC on the road next weekend. The Clovers will be back at home on April 7th against Broncos FC.
