Savannah Clovers to host Open Tryouts

The Savannah Clovers will be hosting open tryouts in July and August. Tryouts will take place at Floyd E. Morris Field in Midtown Savannah. Floyd E. Morris has been the home to the Clovers, hosting matches against Lowcountry United, Georgia Revolution (NPSL) and SC United Bantams (PDL). Players can pre register for 20.00 online here. Registration at Floyd E. Morris Field on the day of tryouts will be 25.00. Registration fees will go towards renting the facility, water and equipment. Also, participating players will receive a Clovers training top.

Soccer Food Drive: Savannah Clover and Let's Can Hunger partner to benefit the Bloomingdale Food Pantry

Savannah, Ga -The April 15th Showcase match versus Georgia Revolution (NPSL) will feature a canned food drive (Kick Hunger) for Let's Can Hunger to benefit the Bloomingdale Food Pantry. Founded in 2011 by Adam Messer, Let's Can Hunger hosts multiple events during the year to raise awareness of poverty while raising canned and dry food donations for the hungry.

The food drive will coincide with the April 15th Showcase match versus Georgia Revolution of the National Premier Soccer League. Everyone attending are encouraged to participate and make a canned food donation. The match is set for 5pm at Floyd E. Morris field at Daffin park in midtown Savannah. Recap: Savannah Clovers v Lowcountry United

Savannah, Ga - Savannah Clovers suffered a 6-0 loss to Lowcountry United in front of a crowd of 160 plus. Lowcountry United went up 1 nil at the 20 minute mark from a Jay Eddine glancing header. Eddine would add two more to become the first player to register a hat trick in the first St. Patrick's Day Soccer Showcase. The Clovers came close, scoring a late consolation goal on a set piece. However, the goal was called back for offside. The live internet stream, provided by Non League America, garnered at total of 623 views over YouTube and Periscope. Savannah Clovers and Lowcountry United will continue their respective marque match schedule as both clubs prepare to take on NPSL sides Georgia Revolution, Atlanta Silverbacks and Asheville City SC.
